 | Wal-Mart purchase ($25.00) 3/1/04
| I stopped by the Wal-Mart today and was going to pick up some '04 Donruss packs in hopes of getting some more Power Alleys. The opened box was on the top shelf (no pun intended) but when I reached in it, it was empty. But on the end of the aisle was some $9.99 '04 Donruss Retail Boxes, so I bought one of those, and I also picked up another pack of '04 Topps Heritage & 3 packs of the '03 UD Patch Collection football. I didn't get anything of note in the football packs or the heritage, but I did get a Jeff Bagwell Diamond King, a Chipper Jones Diamond King insert (#/2500), two Red Press Proofs, and my first Rated Rookie, #35, Clint Barnes. One of the eleven packs in the box only had four cards instead of five, so I'm going to write Donruss and see if they send me something. (BV=$59)

 | Waxpacks eBay lot ($10.00) 2/28/04
| Well I got my first Waxpacks eBay lot of 200 cards in assorted unopened packs today. I was dissappointed to not find a single Topps pack, as there was various Donruss, Fleer, Score and Upper Deck packs from 1988-1992. I did receive a Tom Glavine '88 Score rookie card and this '90 Sosa. (BV=$29)

 | 1979 topps baseball 100 cards MINT ($6.50) 2/23/04
| Seller: mintcards273 I wouldn't call them mint, as when I took them out of the box and set them on the table, they were very curved. Nonetheless they were 100 cards that pretty much every one of was one I didn't have.

| | Orve's Baseball Card Company ($45) 2/18/04
| I stopped by the local baseball card shop in Belleair Bluffs and bought 3 packs of 2004 Topps Heritage, which just came in, as well as 12 packs of 2002 UD 40-man, and 2 packs of 1990 Topps Traded. I also bought a vending box of 500 1992 Topps. These are my first purchases of any of these sets. The very first card I pulled from the first 40-man pack, which I opened there at the store, was a #1011 Morgan Ensberg Electric Rainbow, numbered 10/40, and the last card from the last pack, which I opened at home, was my very first game-used, a #L-CE Carl Everett Looming Large Jersey, numbered 178/250. |

Wants
My first priority is to complete my 1979-1991 Topps sets, in no particular order. I am also working on these following sets, some of which I haven't even started yet: 2004 Donruss 2004 Topps 2003 Topps Heritage 2002 Upper Deck 40-man 1995 Stadium Club 1992 Topps other 1970s Topps sets other 1990s sets
Special Projects
Outside of completing sets that I'm working on, I have three special projects I'm working on completing.
| | All-Time Home Run hitters Currently: 5 of Top 8 need: Mays, Robinson, Killebrew |
| | I am trying to collect a card for each of the all-time HR leaders, beginning with Hank Aaron, 8 at a time, so I can keep them in a 9-pocket page, leaving the middle spot open for a directory card. After I complete the top 8, I'll work on the next page, 9-16, and so on.
| | PA-4 Collection Currently: 2/11 have: red, red die cut |
| | I am trying to collect all 11 2004 Donruss Power Alley PA-4 Barry Bonds cards. They come in each regular and die cut of each of five colors: Red, Purple, Green, Blue and Yellow, and there is an 11th one, that is black. Each of the colors is only made in a limited print run, and it will be especially impossible to get the black, as it is a 1/1.
| | Power Alley Collection Currently: 4/200
|
| |
UPDATE: actually, I'm going to try to collect not just the Bonds, but all 20 of the Power Alley cards, 11 variations, 20 players, that's 220 cards, but I'm not going to count the Black 1/1s, if I get any of those, it'll be a bonus, so as of now I have the Red & Red Die Cut Bonds, a Purple Thome, and a Blue Die Cut Berkman, so I'm at 4/200. I have three more, including the Green Die Cut Austin Kearns, numbered to 5, which is pictured above, on the way.
| | 1990 Fleer Ryne Sandberg project Currently: 11 |
| | I am also trying to collect as many 1990 Fleer Ryne Sandberg #40 cards that I can.
